Eagles Nest is high on a ridge, so the scenic views looking over the hill country are terrific! It is a small, friendly community of mostly retired folks, so everybody knows almost everybody else. Great place to ride out the pandemic since there is plenty of room to get out and about without being in a crowd. Still, Eagles Nest is only 5 minutes from Burnet, 20 minutes from Marble Falls and an hour from Austin. And there is plenty of internet for those of us still working remotely!
I’ve lived in Eagles Nest since late 2007. I worked for years with an internet that was not good because there wasn’t many options and all were pretty weak. We signed with HyperFusion about 3 years ago and our internet has been very strong ever since. With the incredible ice storm we had, we lost our internet about 15 min when ice fell and hit a line. That was very quickly put back on line. This has made it possible to work from home during a difficult year.
